ARM has 'grown up' says retiring CEO Warren East

ARM CEO Warren East says the processor company, which he leaves this summer, has “grown up” during his 12 years at the helm. "We have grown up in to a real business with a sustainable future,” East told Electronics Weekly in an exclusive interview. “Twelve years ago ARM was a very promising start-up with a presence in the mobile market,” said East. “We have benefited from the growth in mobile, and we have fanned the technology out in to other products and markets,” said East. East is retiring in June, after 12 years heading up ARM and 19 years at ARM overall. Under East, ARM’s revenues grew from $213m to $913m, and profits grew five-fold.
