Rohde & Schwarz launches its first mixed-signal scope

Rohde & Schwarz has introduced a new mixed-signal oscilloscope. The test firm has added a logic analysis option to its RTM series of mid-range scopes. The logic analysis option adds 16 logic channels to the firm’s RTM series scopes. It has a sampling rate of 5Gsample/s and memory depth of 20Msample. As a result the mixed-signal scope provides time domain, logic, protocol and frequency analysis functions. The latest oscilloscopes in the RTM series offer two or four channels and bandwidths of 350MHz or 500MHz as well as the RTM-B1 logic analysis option. A feature of the scope is what the supplier calls a VirtualScreen, which allows the screen can be expanded to 20 divisions. The visible section of the screen is selected using a rotary knob.
