eMemory NVM IP adopted by smartphone vendors Josephine Lien, Taipei; Steve Shen, DIGITIMES [Tuesday 30 April 2013] Taiwan-based IP provider eMemory Technology has entered the supply chains for Samsung Electronics' Galaxy S4 and the next-generation iPhone series with its OTP (one time programmable) non-volatile memory IP, according to industry sources. eMemory is delivering its OTP IP products for driver ICs and power management (PWM) ICs to be used by the next-generation iPhones, said the sources, adding that the driver ICs will be manufactured by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) using a 80nm process, while the delivery of PWM ICs will be accomplished through a tie-up with Dialog Semiconductor. eMemory has also landed orders for its OTP IP to be used in the power management unit (PMU) of a 4G version of Samsung's Galaxy 4S family smartphones, the sources a...
