Board-level shields help solve EMI issues

Board-level shields help solve EMI issues

TE Connectivity has introduced shielding products that provide isolation of board-level components, minimize crosstalk, and reduce susceptibility to electromagnetic interference without impacting system speed. These stamped or drawn one- and two-piece metal cages can be used for such applications as mobile phones and tablet PCs, where thinner devices with multiple antennas, higher data rates, and increasing operating frequencies have heightened the demand for board-level shielding. TE’s board-level shielding products employ standardized features, including contact and locking dimples, corner shape, and bending radii. Regional field application engineers in the US, Europe, and China are available for customer support. Sample turnaround time for customized parts is about 72 hours, depending on complexity.
