There are huge amounts of engineering graduates from the UK who have to turn to other industries for jobs, after continuous over subscription and rejection from engineering companies. I’d love to see a statistic of the conversion of graduate engineers who actually get into engineering. What about the statistics of these home-grown companies which completely ignore candidates who live in the UK but simply aren’t home-grown British? There’s a lot of politics in graduate hiring that I think needs some serious inspection.
