Dell to enter home entertainment market via AlienWare Aaron Lee, Taipei; Steve Shen, DIGITIMES [Thursday 27 February 2014] Dell is planning to add new product lines under its sub-brand AlienWare and will expand from the PC industry to the home entertainment market, according to sources from the upstream supply chain. Since AlienWare's products are popular in the gaming industry, the US-based vendor is optimistic about its entry into the entertainment business, said the sources. AlienWare's current product offerings include desktops, notebooks, mice, headsets, projectors and other accessories. Meanwhile, Taiwan-based notebook ODM Wistron is also expanding its product portfolio.
