Here at AkibaNews, we’re big fans of Synology products. They are reliable, easy configurable, very affordable, ECO friendly,… and the list goes on. So we had to visit they booth at least 2 days in a row just to be sure we had the heads up on everything new. Synology already had a fantastic product lineup, and they had an award winning DiskManager NAS operation system, but this was not enough for the Taiwanese network experts. So they decided: If Apple can make anything better every year, we can too. And they did, amazing even us. On March 6th they officially announced the DSM 4.0 upgrade (liable for over 90 000 beta downloads in only 50 days): Taipei, Taiwan—March 6, 2012—Synology® today announced the official release of DiskStation Manager 4.0 (DSM 4.0).
