3D print a colony on Mars

wants to use 3D printers and laser cutters to make furnishings and greenhouses from materials found on the Red Planet, eventually allowing for colonies to be set up as a new homestead for humans. The hope is that, eventually, a Martian pipeline could be built that would run, construct, and even duplicate itself, using only local materials on Mars. Already, the team has used raw material found on Mars to make plastics. The Mars Foundation, along with HI-SEAS and Aleph Objects, are testing the theories at a Mars base in Hawaii.
