HTC likely to launch cloud computing music service in 2H12, say sources Daniel Shen, Taipei; Steve Shen, DIGITIMES [Wednesday 21 March 2012] HTC is expected to venture into cloud computing music service that will provide cross-platform, cross-device mobile music experience to end users in the second half of 2012, with its subsidiary Beats Electronics responsible for planning, according to industry sources. The speculation comes after multiple reports indicated that HTC and Beats are set to acquire music subscription service company MOG. HTC has denied the report on the possible acquisition, stating that HTC and Beats are two independent companies and that it has no comments on whether Beats would acquire MOG. HTC has been active in the deployment for cloud computing music service, implementing a number of acquisition deals, including the takeover Saffron Digital and Onlive...
