#Cortex-M4 based #MCU by #Atmel to feature 2Mbyte of flash; consumes 200µA/MHz in active mod @ 120MHz

"We are continuing to expand our ARM portfolio of devices for higher performance applications and growing memory requirements in the consumer and industrial segments," said Ingar Fredriksen, Atmel's senior director of microcontrollers. "These new products with the latest Cortex-M4 core will ensure designers have all the right devices they need for their design requirements." According to Atmel, the part also features 160kbyte of sram and integrates code protection features. Meanwhile, the embedded flash is dual banked to support in field firmware upgrades. SAM4SD32 code development is supported by the SAM4S-EK2 evaluation kit which, in turn, is supported by the Atmel Studio 6 integrated development environment. The SAM4SD32 will be available in a VFBGA100 7x7mm package.
