Inventec to begin offering educational cloud computing services in 4Q13 Aaron Lee, Taipei; Adam Hwang, DIGITIMES [Wednesday 22 August 2012] Inventec has started trial operations of educational cloud computing services in Taiwan and plans to set up a pricing model for services and related devices to begin commercial operations in the fourth quarter of 2013, according to the company. Inventec has provided 1,000 tablet PCs specifically for students to trial educational cloud computing services in Taiwan, and will provide more 1,000 units, the company indicated. Inventec said it has been negotiating the same trials in cities in eastern, central and western China in an attempt to promote sales of educational cloud computing service in the China market. In line with its educational cloud computing services, Inventec will launch Dr. eye, its e-book store, at the end of August 201...
