Shipments for panels used in Nokia and Motorola handsets decline Sammi Huang, Taipei; Alex Wolfgram, DIGITIMES [Tuesday 4 September 2012] Shipments for panels used in Nokia and Motorola handsets are continuing to decline in the third quarter despite the time period being the traditional busy season for consumer electronics purchasing, according to industry supply chain sources. Sources said the decline is largely due to increasing demand for high-end handsets made from Apple and Samsung Electronics. The sources also said Motorola and Nokia's handset products haven't been catching consumers' eyes due to their lack of value-added features and differentiation.
