Taiwan government starts health cloud pilot project through cooperation with Microsoft Miranda Chuang, Taipei; Adam Hwang, DIGITIMES [Tuesday 18 September 2012] Taiwan's Department of Health (DOH) on September 17 announced the beginning of a pilot project of cloud computing applied to health information management through HealthVault, a Microsoft-developed platform for individuals to store and access their health information online. HealthVault offers a portal giving access to personal health records using mobile terminal devices, DOH indicated. DOH will invite willing citizens to volunteer, and will work with select hospitals and clinics which have introduced electronic personal medical record systems to undertake the pilot project, the agency indicated.
