TS Solartech to expand production capacity in 2H16 Nuying Huang, Taipei; Adam Hwang, DIGITIMES [Monday 25 April 2016] TS Solartech Sdn Bhd, a Malaysia-based crystalline silicon solar cell maker in which Taiwan-based Solartech Energy holds a 42% stake, will expand annual production capacity from nearly 300MWp currently to 500MWp in the second half of 2016, according to Solartech. Solartech in November 2014 sold two solar cell production lines to TS Solartech in exchange for a stake. TS Solartech has obtained orders from China, Europe and South Korea with shipments scheduled through the end of 2016, Solartech said. As these orders will nearly book up existing production capacity, TS Solartech has decided to expand capacity in the second half of 2016.
