Turkey is seeing high levels of economic and population growth. In order to cover the country's increasing electricity requirement and improve the reliability of the supply, the country is relying more and more on renewable energies, and on wind energy in particular. Siemens is to deliver, install and commission a total of 22 wind turbines of the type SWT-2.3-108 for the Balabanli onshore project.
