LCD TV panel prices increase US$3 due to increased TV sales in China Julian Ho, Taipei; Alex Wolfgram, DIGITIMES [Monday 22 October 2012] LCD TV panels have seen a US$3 increase in price due to TV sales growth in China during the nation's October 1 holidays. Large-size TVs, particularly ones with new sizes such as 50-inch, as well as 32-, 39- and 42-inch sold well in China during the holidays, which bumped up LCD TV panel prices, according to industry sources. The sources said that approximately three million TVs were sold during the October holidays, most of which were from local-based makers. Taiwan-based panel makers such as AU Optronics (AUO) and Chimei Innolux (CMI) benefited from the sales and still have orders from China-based TV vendors until November, added the sources. LCD TV panel prices are expected to remain stable for the most part in the fourth quarter of 20...
