Starting up an EDA business, or many other types of technology business, can involve getting a computer and lots of caffeine as you burn the midnight oil trying to put together code that you believe will be the product that every designer will want or need. But do you work out of your home or do you rent some office space somewhere? There are pros and cons to both, but if instead of being one person you are a small group of three or four people and need to be working closely together, then few people will have room in their houses anymore, plus there are always distractions such as a spouse, kids or the dog.
