With Hurricane Sandy now bearing down on New Jersey, utility companies up and down the U.S. Eastern seaboard are now on high alert. Over the weekend, I spoke with Nicholas Abi-Samra , a 35-year veteran of the power industry and an expert on the effects of extreme weather on the electricity grid, to see how companies are gearing up for this massive storm.
