Foxconn may release 130-inch TV products in the future, says company vice president Julian Ho, Taipei; Alex Wolfgram, DIGITIMES [Thursday 8 November 2012] Foxconn Electronics may release 70-, 80- and even as large as 130-inch TV products in the future, but the products are not expected to interfere with Chimei Innolux's (CMI) product line, as Foxconn is a major investor in CMI, according to Foxconn vice president Jeng-wu Tai. Market observers have been speculating as to what kind of panels Foxconn will produce with Sharp's 10G line, but Tai says Foxconn has no intention of producing panel sizes that interfere or compete with CMI's TV panel production plans. CMI has plans to continue releasing 39-, 50- and 58-inch TV panel products as part of its product differentiation strategies along with 50-, 55-, 58- and 65-inch Ultra HD (4Kx2K) TV panels in the future.
