Holtek eyes over 10% sequential revenue growth in 2Q13

Holtek eyes over 10% sequential revenue growth in 2Q13 Mavis Hong, Taipei; Steve Shen, DIGITIMES [Monday 27 May 2013] MCU vendor Holtek Semiconductor is expected to see its revenues for the second quarter of 2013 grow over 10% sequentially from NT$893 million (US$29.89 million) recorded in the previous quarter, according to the company. Second-quarter gross margin will remain strong at over 45% compared to 45.25% and 45.66% in the previous two quarters, the company added. The increasing popularity of small household appliances with TFT LCD panels and touch-controlled applications has helped ramp up Holtek's MCU shipments, the company added. Holtek also expects its shipments of MCUs for mobile power supply devices in 2013 to double from eight million shipped in the previous year, revealed company president Gordon Gau.
