Acer chairman welcomes HP decision to not spin off PC business

Wang analyzed the market status and pointed out that Apple iOS's strong growth is mainly driven by its smartphone and tablet PC products and its notebook products are only minor drivers. Meanwhile, Google's Android is mainly working to catch up with Apple in both the smartphone and tablet PC markets, and Microsoft's Windows has not had any achievements within these two markets that can help it gain share, causing shipments of netbooks to drop and traditional notebooks to see only slight growth.
