Motech expects April-May orders in excess of production capacity Nuying Huang, Taipei; Jackie Chang, DIGITIMES [Thursday 26 April 2012] Motech has been operating at full capacity since the Lunar New Year holidays due to a demand rebound and effects from the anti-dumping and anti-subsidy investigations by the US government against China-based firms, said Jack Hsieh, CFO and spokesperson of Motech. First-quarter 2012 shipments of solar cells were 320MW, according to Motech. Furthermore, the firm believes orders in April and May are likely to exceed capacity. Hsieh added that customers have been demanding solar cells with high conversion efficiency and this is what Motech has been striving for.
