Wistron to make investment in telematics device maker Aaron Lee, Taipei; Steve Shen, DIGITIMES [Monday 29 December 2014] Notebook ODM Wistron has decided to step into the telematics segment by committing investment in Taiwan-based Join-link International Technology, which focuses on production of car entertainment multimedia devices, driving recorders and related in-car monitoring devices. Wistron's initial investment in Join-link will be capped at NT$600 million (US$18.9 million), accounting for a 50-60% stake in the telematics company, Wistron said. Join-link's car entertainment devices have entered the supply chains for Mitsubishi Thailand, Dongfeng Nissan Diesel Automobile, Jianghuai Automobile (JAC) and Toyota, according to industry sources.
