National Instruments is collaborating with TU-Dresden on a project to investigate technologies for 5G wireless systems. This is early research in the Dresden-based university in to 5G wireless systems which will eventually follow 4G mobile technology which is currently being deployed. “TU-Dresden is one of the world’s top research universities, and they’re leading the way in groundbreaking research to prototype next-generation wireless communication systems,” said Dr. James Truchard, president, CEO and co-founder of National Instruments. TU-Dresden works with the Vodafone Chair Mobile Communications Systems carrying out research in wireless communications technologies including networks, equipment and semiconductors.
