#Tech Honda Employs MHI's Turbocharger for S660 Roadster
Honda Motor Co Ltd employed a new turbocharger for the engine of the "S660" roadster to be released in April 2015. The turbocharger is manufactured by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) Ltd. The new vehicle is based on the "N" series. But Honda replaced IHI Corp's turbocharger, which is used for the engine of the N series, with the new turbocharger. The new turbocharger seemingly has a smaller number of turbine blades, the same amount of supercharged air per engine revolution and smaller dimensions, compared with MHI's previous product. Honda employed it to reduce turbo lag (delay in supercharging) and offer a comfortable feeling of acceleration, the company said.
