European Commission to decide necessity of anti-dumping investigation in 45 days Nuying Huang, Taipei; Jackie Chang, DIGITIMES [Monday 30 July 2012] European Commission will decide in 45 days whether it will start an anti-dumping investigation on China-based solar firms. China-based vertically integrated solar firms have been urging China's government to use diplomatic solutions to prevent the start of this investigation. According to media reports, if the investigation takes place, it will be completed within 15 months. China-based firms have been concerned that once the investigation begins, 60% of exported their products will be blocked, 60% of the solar firms in China will disappear and US$20 billion of market output will be affected.
