Taiwan key economic indicator continues to signal slow growth Bryan Chuang, Taipei; Steve Shen, DIGITIMES [Monday 31 August 2015] Taiwan's economic conditions remain soft, affected by weak international economies, the National Development Council (NDC) has said, citing its latest survey on the outlook of the local economy. The government's economic monitoring indicator in July fell two points to 14, representing the lowest level in over three years and flashing a "blue light" for the second consecutive month, NDC said. The NDC uses a five-color spectrum to signal national economic health. A red light means the economy is overheated, yellow-red for heating up, green for steady growth, yellow-blue for slowdown and blue for heading into a recession.
