Arduino board has wireless whisper

The designers have selected a high-efficiency step-up regulator and a dual LDO regulator to power the microcontroller and the built in radio transceiver from a single AA battery or a coin-cell. The board has a sub-GHz radio with hardware encryption and CRC. In case you need more power, still possible to plug an USB adapter and take advantage of the dual LDO regulator to drive anything you like. In this configuration you can still have a battery connected and use it as a backup supply. Designed by developers in Australia and called the 'Whisper Node' it is now the subject of a Kickstarter crowd-funding campaign . The design kit comes with full headers and an external antenna. There is 4Mbit flash memory for data storage or MCU firmware upgrades over-the-air.
