1982 EDN editorial about computer security gets it right

in these pages by taking a look back at past articles, and bloviating hypothesizing what the next 60 years could bring. With that in mind, I was fascinated to find a 1982 column by EDN editor Walt Patstone entitled, “Computer security- accept responsibility now.” Predating the Internet, there is no link to it, so I will post an image of the complete editorial as this column's final page. EDN editor Walt Patstone and his introductory paragraphs about computer security. Read the complete text at the end of this column. I found the column particularly prescient.
